PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a superconductive coil having easy machinability and excellent cooling characteristic by forming a number of grooves intersecting at least in two directions each other on the surface to be cooled of a pancake coil. CONSTITUTION:A pancake coil 2 is formed by winding a superconductive wire 1, and a number of grooves 8 intersecting at least in two directions each other are formed on the surface to be cooled of the coil 2. The interval between the grooves 8 is formed, for example, in depth less than 1.5mm., and is formed in depth larger than the interval. In this manner, there can be obtained a superconductive coil having easy machinability and excellent cooling characteristic. |
