The safety device protects against hose and pipe fracture, having a conical valve plug spring-loaded open and guided axially in a housing, reacting to pressure difference. On the plug (10) a continuous round guide ring (1) at the inlet end is joined to the sealing head (2) at the outlet end by radial ribs (3). Where the valve opens automatically, the head has a metering bore (8) connected to the screwed outlet union varying the size of opening. Where it is opened manually it bears against the closed end face of an opening device in this union (6).
