STANLEY WADDINGTON APPLICATION FOR PATENT FUR BEARING ANIMALS TRAP DRAG This invention is intended to prevent trapped animals from running away with a trap. It is somewhat similar to the solid three prong fur bearing animal trap drag. The difference and real improvement of this drag over the solid three prong drag is that when the drag is set, it lays very close or flat to the ground(approximately 3 inches off the ground) and can be easily hidden or covered with grass. The drag appears to be similar to a three prong anchor except the third prong is spring loaded and can be moved to the side next to one of the other prong and held in place by a pin. This allows the drag to lie flat and be unnoticed. The pin is attached to the trap by a chain. When an animal is caught in the trap, it tends to attempt to run away, this movement to escape will release the pin holding the third prong thus making it almost a certainty the drag will get caught on a tree or underbrush and hold the animal in place for the trapper. The drag is very compact thus making it much easier for the trapper to transport. The pin is removable, thus making it easier to replace the spring should it happen to break rather than replacing the complete drag.
