PURPOSE:To improve an impregnating property and manufacture a coil of good quality, by using duct pieces to divide conductor layers from each other in the radial direction of the coil and inserting insulators inbetween the duct pieces to provide an enclosed resin duct. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 is wound around a bobbin 1 made of a laminated resin pipe. An insulating tape 7 is wound around the coil. Pieces 8a such as epoxy resin strips are inserted in between the conductor layers 2. Porous insulators of good resin impregnating property such as a polyester mat are filled between the pieces 8a. This coil assembly is impregnated with a resin under vacuum by a conventional method. The impregnation can be finished in a very short time. This results in providing the coil excellent in electrical, mechanical and thermal properties. |
