PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of holes of recording nozzles by supplying ink and a detergent to the holes of dummy nozzle through which ink particles are not ejected and which are arranged at the upper parts of the recording nozzle holes by utilizing a capillary phenomenon thereby to constantly moisten the surfaces of holes of recording nozzles. CONSTITUTION:In a nozzle head 1 of an ink jet recording device, a side plate 12 is bonded to a base plate 11 electro-mechanical converting elements 13a-13c are bonded to the side plate in correspondence to ink chambers 15a-15c. An ink 20 is supplied fully from an ink supply hole 19, a common ink chamber 18, fluid diodes 17a-17c, ink chambers 15a-15c and nozzles 16a-16c. There is provided a flow passage 23 having a liquid film forming hole 22 so as to constantly form a liquid film 21 on the front surfaces of the holes of recording nozzles 16a-16c. By this procedure, even when the ink 20 is not particularly pressed, it oozes out of the liquid film forming holes 22 by the capillary phenomenon of the flow passage 23, and the clogging of the holes is prevented. |
