PURPOSE:To obviate the likelihood for causing abnormal charging with simple construction and improve cleaning efficiency through polarity controlling of residual toners by providing an electric potential control means to the destaticizer of an electrophotographic apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A grid as an electric potential control means is provided to the destaticizer 4. The grid is held at an earth potential. Because of this, positive DC destaticizing coronas are controlled by this grid and are evenly applied on a ''Mylar '' film 1, by which the destaticizing effect is considerably improved. The residual toners are controlled approximately perfectly to positive polarity. |
