According to an embodiment of the present invention, a storage device comprises: a nonvolatile memory which has a buffer region performing a first write operation and a main region performing a second write operation; and a memory controller which stores pieces of data in the buffer region when the pieces of the data having a reference size or more are continuously inputted at a reference count or more. According to the present invention, even when a host does not receive a separate command for designating a first mode and a second mode, a mode can be automatically changed. According to the present invention, the mode can be changed according to the size and continuity of data provided from the host, thereby improving writhing performance of the storage device. |
