PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system that can suppress temperature increase of a power storge device when a relay device for controlling conduction/non-conduction of a heater for increasing the temperature of the power storage device has a breakdown.SOLUTION: A power storage system comprises a heater for increasing the temperature of a power storage device for supplying power to a vehicle running motor, a DC/DC converter for outputting, to the heater, power from the power storage device or power which is supplied from an external power source to charge the power storage device, a relay device for switching the current path between the DC/DC converter and the heater between a cut-off state and a connection state, and a controller for detecting off-failure of the relay device. An auxiliary battery is connected to the output side of the DC/DC converter together with the heater, and when the breakdown of the relay device is detected, the controller restricts the output voltage of the DC/DC converter to a low value while allowing power supply to the auxiliary battery through the DC/DC converter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
