<p>PURPOSE:To enable a plate material to be clamped by holders accurately in predetermined positions in a plate material cutting and punching apparatus, such as a shearing machine, by transferring the plate material by means of grippers. CONSTITUTION:A plate material W is placed on a table 2, and a gripper 10 is moved to left to hold the plate material W by clamp claws 30, 31 at the left end of the gripper 10. Stoppers 8 are then projected beyond the surface of the table 2, and the gripper 10 is moved to right. When the plate material W comes into contact with the stoppers 8, it is sensed by a feeler to stop a piston rod 26. Grippers 12 are then upwardly moved with their claws 30, 31 opened, to clamp the plate material W comes into contact with stoppers on holders 7 in a position WR. A plate material feeler senses the plate material to clamp the same. The holders 7 are then downwardly moved, and the grippers 10, 12 are retracted under the upper surface of the table 2. The stoppers 8 are also retracted under the upper surface of the table 2. The holder 7 is thereafter transferred to subject the plate material to shearing.</p> |
