<p>The body (3) of the cylinder assembly has a core (1) with a key slot (2) in which the key (7) with the usual notches on its edges operate a set of tumbler pins. In addition to this device the surface of the key has sets of teeth (8) which protrude and/or recess on the key surface. The teeth work together with corresponding teeth (6) on a rotary blocking element (4) in such a way that during the insertion of the key the locking element performs a turning motion against the force of a spiral spring (9). The blocking element is fitted in a recess (10) of the core (1) in such a way that in the locked position part of the circumference of the element protrudes into a slot (11) of the cylinder body (3). The element (4) has a flattened part (5) which rotates sufficiently to coincide with the axial surface of the body (3), while the previously protruding part is not engaging any more with the slot (11) and the core is allowed to turn.</p> |
