The dental articulator comprises an angle bracket for mounting the upper mould support and a lower bracket (32) for the lower support. The lower bracket comprises a vertical and a horizontal arm at the end of which are two lateral extensions. The ends of the extensions are received in respective slots in connecting plates (20) which are pivotally mounted on each side of the upper bracket. The two plates can pivot in a plane perpendicular to the vertical plane of symmetry of the articulator. A bifurcated leaf spring (28) presses against the base of the two extensions so that their extremities are lodged at the bottom of the slots.
