Monitoring and control of open=end spinning units - using control signals modified by feedback from individual units

The production heads of textile machinery, such as open-end spinning units, are monitored and controlled by a device which receives response signals from each unit describing its performance and compares them with a programmed series of control signals. Differences between the two are used to effect adjustments to the individual units either directly, by means of mechanical adjustments, or indirectly, by means of corrections to the programmed control signals. The device has a rapid response, even with high-speed units, and maintains a high productivity of high quality output at every head, despite variations in operating characteristics of the individual heads.
