The wear piece is made from a rectangular metal plate (1), provided with an approximately central shallow diagonal fold. This forms a convex top face (8) and a concave lower face. On the latter face is welded an L-shaped strip, its long side (13) parallel to that of the plate to form a side cheek and a corner location (18) for the be levelled front edge (17) of the ploughshare blade (16). Bolts through holes in the plate and the side cheek assemble the parts and a 50 deg. outside corner angle (3, 4) improves the working action.
