A camera has a system for optically focussing a beam of light from an object. An imaging system converts the optical image produced into electrical or physiochemical information. A device detects fluctuations of the appts. and issues a fluctuation detecting signal. A circuit responds to the signal to produce an image fluctuation control signal, which in turn causes a circuit to suppress fluctuations of the image in response. The detector is vibratable at fluctuation detecting velocity. An angular velocity sensor detects the vibration of the detector and a Corioli's force generated on the basis of rotational movement of the detector w.r.t. an absolute coordination system.
