PURPOSE:To obtain the said device which is capable of high speed recording and has an ink jet head of simple, small and hight-weight construction by providing an outlet for air flow near the ink liquid outlet of an ink-on-demand type ink jet device. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air from an air supplier 302 and ink liquid from an ink tank 303 are supplied to an ink jet head 301 and they are introduced respectively into an air inlet 401 and an ink liquid inlet 402. If voltage pulses are applied to a piezo element 403 an oscillating plate 404 fastened by an adhesive to the element 403 causes a bending deformation, gives the ink liquid in an ink liquid chamber 405 some pressure fluctuation. The ink liquid discharged from an ink liquid outlet 406 by means of the compression is covered with the air current introduced through the air inlet 401, an air pass 407, an air outlet 408 and arrives at a recording paper 304 at high speed by dint of the air current. |
