FROSTINGGPROOF UNDERGROUND TANK

PURPOSE:To prevent an underground tank from frosting by building an isolation wall in a space between a tank wall and an external underground wall along which gas filled in the space circulates in the space. CONSTITUTION:A gas existing between the internal face 3 of an external wall 3 and the external face of an isolation wall 5 is heated by a heater 8 and expanded to rise. A gas existing between the external face of a tank wall 2 and the internal face of the isolation wall 5 is cooled by said tank wall 2 and contracts to descend. The gas descending into a space between the downside face of the bottom of the tank wall 2 and the upside face of the bottom of the isolation wall 5 is cooled by the tank wall 2 and guided through an opening 6 of the isolation wall 5 into the space between the downside of the bottom of the isolation wall 5 and the upside of the bottom of the external wall 3 and then heated again by the heater 8. The gas in the space 4 circulates as shown by an arrow 10 and is hept at a constant temperature by heating of the heater 8.
