The salvaging float is suitable for any fluid and has two inflatable volumes (B1, B2). The first is connected to an air compressor (C) and the second to a valved connection (T). The float supports a weight (N). The compressor inflates the space(E1) to increase the buoyancy of the device which can be made to float by releasing air through the valve (T).
