PURPOSE:To improve fuel economy and power performance by detecting the throttle opening and the vehicle speed and automatically conducting the up-shift or down-shift of an auxiliary change gear according to the detector. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage signal corresponding to the real vehicle speed fed from a vehicle speed sensor 22 to an up-shift instructing comparator 26 and a down-shift instructing comparator 27 is smaller than the voltage signals indicating upper and lower limit setpoints, the comparator 26 generates a signal ''0'' and the comparator 27 generates a signal ''1''. At this time, if an auxiliary change gear 12 is in a low-speed position and an inversion circuit 31 is generating a signal ''0'', an AND gate 29 generates ''0'' and the shifting of the change gear 12 is not conducted. When the voltage signal fed from the sensor 22 has surpassed the upper limit setpoint, an actuator 33 shifts the change gear 12 to a high-speed position. The shifting of the change gear 12 to a low-speed position is also conducted automatically. |
