PURPOSE:To obtain cosmetics comprising an ester wax of a special structure, leaving unconventionally mild and smooth feeling without a rough touch characteristic of a wax, and having an excellent adhesion to the skin. CONSTITUTION:Cosmetics comprising a novel ester wax of formula I (R is residue of 20-100C higher fatty acid; n is an integer from 0-15), completely compatible with the conventional oil (e.g. castor or mineral oil) or with natural wax (e.g. bees wax, or carnauba wax when warm, and forming an oil gel structure when cool. A compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a dimetylchloropolysiloxane of formula II with a mixture of 20-100C higher fatty acids (e.g. Emerox 865-A HMWA, manufactured by Emery Industries). |
