<p>1519475 Copolymerization of ethylene and butadiene ANIC SpA 17 July 1975 [2 Aug 1974] 3070/78 Divided out of 1519474 Heading C3P Ethylene and butadiene are copolymerized in a hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon solvent using a catalyst system comprising a vanadium compound, a compound of the formula AlR1R2X where R1 and R2 are hydrogen or a C1-C18 hydrocarbyl group and X is halogen, a Bronsted or Lewis acid and hexachlorocyclopentadiene. In the examples the copolymerization is carried in toluene in the presence of hydrogen, vanadyl diacetylacetonate or vanadium triacetylacetonate, AlEt2Cl or AlEt2Br, AlEtCl2 or AlEtBr2 and hexachlorocyclopentadiene.</p> |
