The automatic analyser has a sample transport bucket which is moved using an endless chain driven by gear wheels. It is designed for increased capacity so that the time between system fillings is considerably extended, thus reducing system waiting time. The filling interval is extended to 6 or 7 hours without considerably increasing space requirements. The transport channel guiding the chain is extended by the addition of a section (1) on the side of the channel housing. The channel (2) is further extended by having it meander within the added section.
