<p>The twist drill sharpening and point thinning machine has a centring block pivoted on a vertical axis, a cam controlling movement of the block. This allows the correct point and clearance angles to be ground in one operations as well as point thinning. Movement of the block towards the grinding wheel is pref controlled by the cam profile, the latter being tracked by a spring finger in the block. A slide way maintains the block on the longitudinal axis of the movable frame.</p> |
