The collector comprises a cylinder (1) reinforced in its base by a casing (5). In the base, a moveable rod (6) describes a movement along a cut-out (7). The rod is withdrawn to allow balls to penetrate into the cylinder or to escape from it. The top of the cylinder is provided with two uprights (3, 4) constituting a handle or a recovery gutter.
