A method for converting mixtures of material, or mechanically or thermally produced sample articles, containing sample material for chemical-physical analysis, into a form suitable analysis, comprises melting the material or article in a crucible (11) that has a downwards tapered shape and a hole (42) in the bottom. The material or article is melted batchwise and the resulting melt is made to exit through the hole in the bottom in a controlled and continuous flow, which continues to exit the oven (40) heating the crucible. The melt is collected outside the oven and used to form glass briquettes, or alternatively it is dissolved to form an acidic solution. The apparatus used for this method is also claimed. |
