An apparatus and a method for testing a display panel are provided to prevent looseness of the LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel by pressing facing areas of the LCD panel connected through test pins by using a looseness preventing part and prevent damage of a polarizing plate, attached on the LCD panel, through surface contact between the looseness preventing part and the LCD panel. A display panel testing apparatus comprises a stage part(100), a test plate(200) and a looseness preventing part(300). In the stage part, a display panel(10) including a test pad is mounted. The test plate supplies a test signal by being connected to the test pad of the display panel. The looseness preventing part performs surface contact with the display panel facing the test pad. The apparatus further comprises a frame part for supporting the test plate and the looseness preventing part. |
