Printing unit for sheet stack cut edges - transfers image using offset process and an intermediary silicon saturated paper carrier

The printed image is brought to the intermediatery carrier using offset printing ink according to the photo-gravure process. A screen with 150 lines/cm. is used. The image is transferred using a silicon-satd. paper and UV-radiation drying. The paper in the stack is aligned using a vibratory jogger. The compelte unit comprises this alignment system, conveyor rails, a processing track with two hydraulic presses, a glue delivery station and a paper stack holder frame. The hydraulic press has a cylinder which operates a pressure plate and a heater plate whereby the stack holder frame is brought into contact with the plate by the pressure plate.
