<p>PURPOSE:To accurately recognize a packaging position through the use of a pair of pins irrespective of the number of packaging slots by outputting a signal showing the packaging position of a card from the discrete value of a counter counting clocks from a clock supply line through a connector for a prescribed time to the card. CONSTITUTION:The clocks with different frequencies are supplied to a pair of pins in respective connectors through the clock supply lines L0-L5. The dis crete value of the counter 3 in respective cards CD0-CDn come to show the packaging positions by counting the supplied clocks for the prescribed time, and the packaging positions are judged from the discrete values. Consequently, a pair of pins can be prepared for packaging position designation signal pins in the connectors CC irrespective of the number of the cards CD0-CDn, which are to be installed on a mother board MB. Thus, the constitution of a connector part and the mother board can be simplified and miniaturized.</p> |
