PURPOSE:To perform retrieval rapidly and surely by generating pulses of the number corresponding to address differences and repeating the operation of detecting address differences upon completion of this outputting until there are no more address differences. CONSTITUTION:When the differences between the addresses being detected from the disc reproduction signal and the assigned address become less than 100, the feed motor system is put to still control operation, i.e., it is stopped. At the same time, the tracking servo system goes ON and the skip pulses of the number corresponding to the address differences are outputted at a period of about 4ms while being counted, and the read part is transferred forcefully in the disc radius direction. In this case, rapid movement of reproduction information track is carried out but during this period the reading and comparing of the addresses are not performed and it is only after the skip operation is completed that test of whether the address differences are 0 or not is carried out. When any difference is remained, skipping is performed again. Thereby, the retrieval of track positions may be rapidly and surely performed. |
