A light-sensitive silver halide color-photographic emulsion which contains as protected coupler, a compound of the general formula WHEREIN B is a coupler residue; NR1 are hydrogen atoms, or at most one of nR1 is a C1 to C4-aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, attached to the terminal carbon of the alkylene chain and the remaining (n-1)R1 are hydrogen; R2 is a C7 to C18-aliphatic hydrocarbon radical; X is a group capable of bonding the coupler residue with an acylamino group; N IS 2 OR 3; AND Q IS 1 OR 2.
