<p>The anchor nut of tubular shape has an internal thread (4) on one end of its body (3). The riveting head (1) of the anchor nut is connected to the threaded end by a cylindrical section (2) which is counter bored to a dia. (5) that is larger than the thread dia. The finished anchor nut is first hardened to the hardness required by the threaded part. An electrical resistance heating process is then applied to the anchor nut to anneal the riveting end (1, 2) of the anchor nut body. The annealing is progressive and makes the riveting head softest.</p> |
