<p>In the bending of multiple struts from continuous lengths of material, the material is moved through a machine in which bending tools are swivel mounted on an endless chain and are positioned by guide elements. The endless chain moves in steps and the bending tools are applied simultaneously after each chain step, which is half the length of a strut profile, the feed material being moved syncrhonously. The tools act such that the workpiece is bent in one direction only in each working stroke. The machine permits the mfr. of long lengths of struts. The process ensures that no flexing of the strut takes place during forming of the struts, which are intended as grid supports for reinforced concrete structures.</p> |
