<p>SELF SECURING THEFT PROOF CHAIN BINDER A self securing theft proof chain binder, such as would be used to tightly cinch a chain tightly holding a cargo to a truck flat bed, comprising a lever having pivotally attached adjacent to one end thereof at a point off-centre from the longitudinal central axis of the lever, a first swivel connection which terminates in a first hook for attachment to one end of a chain length, the lever Also having pivotally attached at the end thereof at a point along the longitudinal central axis of the arm, one end of a link, the other end of which is secured by a second swivable connection to one end of a lock, the other end of the lock being secured by a third swivable connection to a second hook for attachment to the other end of the chain length, and locking means projecting from the lever such that when the chain binder is tightened by operation of the lever, the second and third swivable connections permit the lock to be rotated for easy engagement with the protecting locking means.</p> |
