<p>The horizontal bed surface is for the support of a mattress, and has a rigid frame with anchoring devices for a woven meshwork. The meshwork is made from a single flexible wire of low elasticity, connected at regular intervals to all four frame members. Where two strands of wire intersect between members they are not jointed together. The strands can pass alternately above and blow each other between two members, and the wire can be run from the first cross member to the first lengthwise one, then to the second lengthwise one and to the second cross-member. From this it is passed to the first lengthwise member, the second one and back to the first cross-member.</p> |
