摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a negative electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a higher capacity in comparison to conventional one; a negative electrode including such a negative electrode active material; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having such a negative electrode.SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a material A; and a lithium compound included in the material A. The material A includes at least one material selected from the group consisting of a carbon material, a metal, a semimetal, an alloy, an oxide and a nitride, which are capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions electrochemically. The lithium compound is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of LiCO, LiOH, LiO, LiF, ROLi and ROCOLi (where R represents CH(n is an integer of 1 or larger)). The rate of the lithium compound to the material A is 10 or more and 1000 or less mass ppm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
