The hose connection comprises a metallic fitting having a tube which is divergent towards its free end. A short convergent portion near its free extremity allows the tube portion to be inserted into the end of the hose. A tapered sleeve mounted on the fitting is divergent in the same sense as the tube portion and fits over the outside of the hose. Moving the sleeve onto the hose tightens the hose onto the taper of the tube portion and in this way secures the hose to the fitting.
