1525619 Removing reeling waste M SCAGLIA SpA 19 Dec 1975 [19 Dec 1974 17 Sept 1975] 52102/75 Heading D1F A method of removing reeling waste from a cylindrical surface of a yarn support comprises telescoping an annular die ring over one end of the surfaces, and effecting relative axial displacement of the ring and surface so that a forelip extending from the ring to the surface draws the waste beyond the other end of the surface. As shown, Fig. 1, pirn 10 is engaged by elastomeric die rings 22, 22a reciprocated along the pirn by ram 34. Each ring has fore lips 36, 40, separated by notch 38, Fig. 2, which is forward sloping and which. when advanced, will deflect inwards, Fig. 3, to compensate for wear and irregularity in the pirn. Residue-cutting roughing blades 24, 24a and finishing blades 26, 26a advance with the rings. Blades 26, Fig. 2, have cutting edges 28, 30, 32. Each pirn 10 is cleared by one reciprocating movement of the rings and blades. The pirn 10 is supported by members 12, 14 having conical parts inserted in the pirn or, Fig. 4, by wedges 48 moved radially by the axial movement of the wedges.
|
