PURPOSE:To execute a processing at a low cost without degrading the quality of an oriented film by covering the oriented film of a necessary part on a substrate, exposing the oriented film of an unnecessary part, immersing the exposed oriented film into a solvent and eliminating the unnecessary part. CONSTITUTION:An oriented film 2 is applied onto a substrate 5 provided with a transparent electrode 3 with a spin coating method, and its necessary part is covered with a packing mask 11. Subsequently, by allowing water (solvent) to flow to the exposed part, the oriented film 2 is washed off. Thereafter, after eliminating water by blowing gaseous nitrogen the packing mask 11 is removed, and by executing a heating treatment, the oriented film 2 is hardened. In such a manner, the removal of the oriented film can be processed by high throughput, and the degrading of the quality of the oriented film does not occur, as well. |
