Coal plough chain monitoring system - has ring shaped signal generators around ends of chains, connected to electronic measuring devices
摘要

The chain travel monitoring system for a coal plough is used where a main drive (A) and an auxiliary drive (B) are positioned at opposite ends of the chain (C). Four signal generators (1 to 4) are arranged, two at each end, to deliver pulse signals to a monitoring unit (5) also at each end, connected to an automatic control desk between them. Each signal generator is a ring shaped core generating a magnetic field through which the links of the two strands of the chain must pass. The monitoring devices incorporate digital/analog converters which give an exact measurement of chain elongation and defects.
