The cylinder lock for motor vehicle boots, bonnets and doors has a vacuum operated central locking system. The latter actuates a locking cylinder operating lever. The locking cylinder is moved into locked, released and neutral positions by a retchet coupling with the lock housing. The cylinder lock actuator sleeve (5) is slidable on the locking cylinder (2). A locking retchet plate (8) between the actuator sleeve and housing has a locking pin (14) which enters a hole (15) on the end face of the lock housing (3). The plate (8) is made of plastics coated spring steel and has a profiled central hole for holding the lock shaft.
