The expansion element is in the form of a thin walled tube of a material with a high temperature coefficient of expansion. It coaxially surrounds a small radial clearing a supporting tube with a low temperature coefficient of expansion. It operates a control valve through a pressure element. The expansion element is directly in contact with the hot medium. The expansion element (9) is connected at its end to the supporting tube (3) and is closed at this end. It is clamped at the case end by a slotted flange (4), and the pressure element (14) passed through the slot (15) and rests at the expansion element end surface.
