1344763 Cable splicing mould M BARENBLATT 19 April 1972 [20 April 1971] 18222/72 Heading B5A A cable splicing mould comprises two cylindrical shells 10, 12 telescopically connected for adjusting the length of the mould, each shell being split into interlocking sub-shells 14, 16 and 18, 20 to enable it to be assembled about a cable splice. The abutting edges of the subshells 16, 20 and 14, 18 carry interengaging grooves and ribs respectively( Fig. 3, not shown). An annular rib 28 on the end of shell 10 selectively engages annular grooves 26 in shell 12. Each shell has a hole 30 for passing in an epoxy potting compound. |
