<p>The plug consists of a metal case with a longitudinal bore in which an insulated and air-tightly sealed box is provided. An insulating layer and a resistance wire spiral are provided on the bolt end projecting from the case into the combustion chamber. One end of the spiral is connected to the bolt, and the other end to the case. The part of the connecting bolt (16), on which the heating wire (24) is wound, is in the form of a thin-walled metal tube (17), and the resistance wire has a heat conducting but electrically insulating coating (27).</p> |
