Electrick air-cooled, machines protection grille, partic. a water-spray protection grille has lamellae with their longitudinal axes arranged in a horizontal plane. To provide good protection from water-spray for rotary electric motors drawing their colling air in from the ambient (air) and to prevent water ingress into the motor(s) interior, the protection grille is designed to cause small pressure losses. The grille has curved lamellae, made in the shape of vanes matched to the direction of flow of the cooling air for the motor(s). The leading edges of the vane-shaped lamellae are arranged in a horizontal direction.
