An electrical terminal for crimping onto an end portion of a conductor consists of a unitary structure stamped and formed from sheet metal. The terminal (1) has a contact portion (20) connected to a ferrule (22) by a transition portion (26). The terminal is stamped out in blank form with the ferrule portion consisting of two outwardly extending wing-like portions, these portions being folded over to form double thicknesses of metal. The wing-like portions are folded along lines (27) and (28) with this part of the blank then being bent to form the ferrule as an open topped hollow cylinder. Slots (24) are formed in the parts forming the ferrule walls to facilitate connection to the wires of a conductor etc.
