<p>The medallion consists of a ring (A) with a small ring (B) for fixing to a chain and a centre part (T) which is independent of the ring. The centre part is made in two parts (Td, Tg) which can be in the form of the signs of the zodiac and can be combined in many different ways. The two parts have some means to ensure that they are held in position. This can be a tenon and mortice join in a plane parallel to the parts or it can be a tongue and groove joint. The joint has a cover (Cv) and is preferably S-shaped.</p> |
