PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect plates together without damaging the end sections of sliced veneers. SOLUTION: Moisture-proof layers 20 and 30 are formed on both the surface and the back face of a base material 10, and a sliced veneer 40 is stuck to the surface of the moisture-proof layer 20 to form this rectangular plate 1. A surface side cut section is formed at one end section of the long side, and a back face side cut section is formed on the opposite other end section, respectively. A female tongue 17 is formed on one end face of the short side, and a male tongue 18 couplable with the female tongue 17 is formed on the opposite other end face, respectively. A female tongue 13 is formed on the end face 11a of the surface side cut section, and a male tongue 14 couplable with the female tongue 13 is formed on the tip face 10b of the one end section having the back face side cut section, respectively. A recess 15 is formed on the lower face of the surface side cut section, and a projection 16 couplable with the recess 15 is formed on the upper face of the back face side cut section, respectively. The surface side corner section on the tip face of one end section having the back face side cut section and the surface side corner section on the end face of the surface side cut section formed at the other end section are chamfered, respectively.
