An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel is provided to reduce the amount of EMI(Electro-Magnetic Interference) by restricting a thickness range of an insulating pad used between switching elements and a heat-radiating unit. A driving apparatus includes a first control switch, a second control switch, a switching element(41), a heat-radiating unit(43), and an insulating pad(44). The first control switch controls a connecting state between a power source having a first level and each of electrode lines. The second control switch controls a connecting state between a power source having a second level and each of the electrode lines. The switching element is included in at least one of the first and the second control switches. The heat-radiating unit is attached to the switching element in order to absorb the heat of the switching element. The insulating pad is inserted between the switching element and the heat-radiating unit and is formed with an insulator.
