Two-component adhesive for joints - contains an additive to swell the adhesive mass and fill the joint

An adhesive, in particular a two-component adhesive, contains an additive in sufficient quantity to swell it so that it fills the spaces and gaps in the joint. The mass of adhesive thus acquires a porous or cellular structure. With a two-component adhesive, the additive is pref. generated or activated by bringing the two components together. A pref. application for the adhesive for sealing the edges of the components of containers for liqs., gases, etc. In partc. those of which flat wall elements are sealed into U-channels or the like.
