The oscillator circuit, for communications, is synchronised to a control signal and its output changes in amplitude when the control signal is noisy or fails. he control signal (fo) is passed via a pulse shaper to a resonant circuit (2) and to a phase discriminator (5). The resonant circuit's output is passed via a second pulse shaper to the output terminal and back to the phase discriminator. The discriminator controls the frequency of the resonant circuit.
