The abrasive is preferably applied to carton blanks (17), Fig. 1 (not shown), by providing a strip of glue on the blanks (17) and applying the particles to the glued area, or a strip of preformed abrasive sheet, e.g. sandpaper, may alternatively be applied. The carton 11 includes a tear-off extension 28 which protects the abrasive ribbon during shipping, &c. |
